Book Signing at Parnassus Books

I have been to a ton of book signings. Some of these book signings changed the course of my life. Once I moved to New York, going to book signings was one of my favorite pastimes, aside from going to as many Broadway shows as I could. My favorite bookstore of all time was Davis Kidd that was here in Nashville. There was a special kind of magic in that store and I cried so much when it closed not long after I moved back to Nashville. Along came Nashvillian and New York Times Best Selling Author A nn Patchett to save the day. She opened Parnassus Books a few years later and now we have some of that magic back.

I have always wanted to write my own book and have my own book signing. Somehow all the stars aligned and I was lucky enough to have Parnassus Books host my very own book signing last night. When I walked up to the store I noticed that my book had taken over most of the window display. I walked inside and they had a another display right as you walked in the door. I can't even express how exciting it all was. I read a story from the book about an unforgettable house/pet sitting experience and signed books. I had so many wonderful friends and family join me to celebrate last night. So many people came that they sold out of books.

This lifelong dream took me eight years start to finish to accomplish. The journey was not always easy but it was so worth it. I am proud of myself for staying the course and checking two more items of my list. I am very lucky to have had a lot of support along the way. Thank you to everyone that came out last night and to all those that helped me cross the finish line. Now it's time to focus a little more on book two. I am having a blast writing it!
